The Story Behind the Brand
I’ve always believed that every brand has a story to tell — and how that story is crafted determines how it connects, grows, and inspires.
Hi, I’m Diana K. Carr — the “dkc” behind dkc Design & Photography.
My own story started with a mix of creativity and curiosity.
With degrees in Psychology and Graphic Communications, plus a minor in Business Management, I’ve always been fascinated by both the why and how behind meaningful design — the human behavior that drives connection and the creativity that brings it to life.
Over the past eight years, I’ve worn many hats — entrepreneur, advertising manager, marketing coordinator, and communications specialist. Each role has taught me something new about people, process, and the evolving ways we share our stories.
I don’t believe in knowing it all; I believe in always learning — from every client, every project, and every challenge that pushes me to grow.
In addition to running dkc Design & Photography, I also work full-time as a Marketing & Communications Specialist for a thriving company within the AEC industry — an experience that continually sharpens my skills and keeps me grounded in the real-world challenges businesses face every day.
As a woman-owned business, I’m passionate about helping other women and purpose-driven entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life with confidence and clarity.
Where small businesses and nonprofits find their voice, shape their story, and build brands that feel as real as the people behind them — that’s what keeps me inspired.
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Strategic Communication and Data Strategy through the University of Oklahoma, continuing to explore the space where creativity meets clarity.
I understand what it’s like to juggle limited budgets and big ambitions — which is why I don’t just build your foundation; I teach you how to keep growing it.
Because marketing your business properly isn’t just important — it’s essential to helping your story be seen and remembered.
If you’re ready to share your story — or even just start figuring out what that story is — I’d love to connect. Let’s build something meaningful together.
